We love this time of year. As the summer comes to an end and the temperature eases off , some people might think about packing away their outdoor gear, but autumn is one of the best times for adventure. Golden hours last longer, because the sun’s lower in the sky. The leaves are turning, meaning woodlands are at their most beautiful. And the days are still long enough to pack plenty of activities in: from trail running to hiking, to SUP safaris and wild camping. As for the autumn weather? Well, as the gear in this issue proves, today’s outdoor kit is perfectly capable of keeping you warm, cosy and dry even when it’s a few degrees cooler outside. As the Swedish saying goes, “there’s no such thing as bad weather” – as long as you have the right clothes.
This is the first of our Explore magazines that brings you inspiration for your next adventures and a sprinkling of new gear to whet your appetite. We hope you enjoy it.
